| About 12 years ago, I picked up a cavalier for the first time - and that was it for me! It took 2 years of researching cavaliers, going to meet with top Australian dog breeders, and getting in touch with one of the top English breeders. Through their kindness and love of the breed, they have helped me develop a very beautiful line of puppies. I have strived for not only beauty of the breed but the temperament, and have raised all my puppies lovingly underfoot in my home.
I have used my cavaliers for pet therapy at hospitals, schools, and retirement homes and it still amazes me the joy and love that they give to all they meet. Their loving nature brings healing, smiles and happiness to everyone they encounter! They are the perfect dogs for all ages!

We have been showing and breeding since 1993 and have bred 50 + AKC home bred bench and field champions to date and many more getting ready to becoming champions. DP Basenjis breeding goals our temperament, health, and quality. We are not a backyard breeder or a puppy mill, our dogs are health tested and we REALLY do have champion lines, just not champions somewhere in the pedigree. Our dogs are registered with AKC (American Kennel Club), and not with some other registration for animals without provable pedigrees. Our Basenjis are loving, family companions, born, raised and live in our home. Outstanding examples of the breed - health and temperament a priority! Our basenjis have been tested for Fanconi Syndrome by the University of Missouri which has the first and only predictive test available for Fanconi Syndrome. We are members in good standing with AKC, and our National and local breed clubs.
